“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”
There was a promising Christian youth who finished his Secondary School education but was short of Mathematics in his result. He registered in one of the extra-mural centres in a big city to repeat the examination. Yielding to peer-group pressure, he was introduced to internet financial fraud practices. He succeeded in one occasion and got carried away by the financial gain. This young man consequently abandoned his Christian faith and his academics. What a tragedy? Many youths have suffered untold hardships, disappointments, frustrations, failure and dropped out of school in the bid to get rich quick. Some have wrecked their lives in prostitution, armed robbery, kidnapping, shady businesses, cult and occultic practices pursuing riches and wealth. True repentance and surrendering to Jesus is the way out. As you live for God, He will meet your academic, financial, physical and spiritual needs. For godliness with contentment is great gain.
